J. Howell Tiller is internationally recognized as a leader in his field of male cosmetic surgery. As an invited speaker/instructor at local, national, and international surgical conferences he has shared his experiences with colleagues across the world and, in turn, has learned from them. Most importantly, however, for almost a quarter of a century Dr. Tiller has sought to provide to his patients the highest levels of surgical care and personal attention. Dr. Tiller and his staff are exceedingly attuned to the fact that the choice to have cosmetic surgery is a very important decision and we treat that decision with the utmost respect and seriousness.

Dr. Tiller began his cosmetic surgery career as a staff Plastic Surgeon at the National Naval Medical Center outside of Washington, D.C. While on duty there for three years he had the immense privilege of serving active duty and retired members of our nation's Armed Services primarily, of course, the United States Navy. Not only did those years provide tremendous surgical experience for Dr. Tiller but it also allowed him to experience the pride, the sacrifice, and the hard work that service members and their families devote in service to their country. During his tenure at Bethesda Dr. Tiller had the wonderful opportunity to serve as a surgeon to then-President Ronald Reagan. Dr. Tiller left active duty with the U.S. Navy with the rank of Commander in 1988 and stayed in Washington, D.C., in private practice until 1995 when he relocated to his home state of Florida.

Prior to leaving Washington he had been Director of Watergate Cosmetic Surgery for seven years. Since 1995 his practice has been known as South Beach Cosmetic Surgery Center. The consultation/business office is at 1935 West Avenue, Suite 205.

Dr. Tiller is a pioneer in the development of muscle augmentation procedures using solid silicone implants. He has developed new techniques and implants for biceps and triceps, pectoral, abdominal, buttock and calf augmentations for men. A particular feature of South Beach Cosmetic Surgery Center is its attention to the male patient.
